What Came First?
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 August 2026
The short version: What Came First? does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no accounts and no servers. The app does not request internet access, so it has no technical means of sending anything anywhere.
What the game stores
The game saves your progress — XP, level, coins, games played, answer statistics, streaks, best score and unlocked achievements — together with your settings for music, sound effects, UI volume, haptics and reduced motion. This data is written to local storage on your own device. None of it leaves the device, none of it is readable by us or anyone else, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the game or use the in-app reset option.
Scores are not uploaded anywhere. Each session starts from what is on your device.
Permissions
The game requests one Android permission: VIBRATE, used only for haptic feedback while you answer questions. You can switch vibration off in the game's settings. No other permission is requested — including no internet permission.
Children
The game contains no ads, no purchases, no chat and no user-generated content, and collects no data, so there is nothing for a child to disclose through it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.
Third parties
The game bundles no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, ad networks or crash reporters. If you installed it from Google Play, Google's distribution of the app is subject to Google's privacy policy, which is separate from this one and outside our control.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "effective date". Continued use of the game after changes means you accept the updated policy.
